Scope

One-year certified courses in Medical OT (Operation Theatre), Hospital and Home-Based Care Attendant, and Medical Emergencies provide specialized training for individuals aiming to work in healthcare settings. The Medical OT course focuses on preparing students to assist surgeons, manage surgical instruments, and maintain a sterile environment during operations. Communication Skills emphasise effective interaction techniques, crucial for understanding and responding to patient needs. Anatomy and Physiology provide an understanding of the human body’s structure and function, forming the foundation for more specialised care practices. Basic First Aid and Emergency Care equip students with the skills necessary to handle immediate medical situations and provide initial care effectively.

The second semester builds on foundational knowledge with more advanced topics. Advanced Home Care Techniques introduces complex care procedures tailored for home settings. Nutrition and Dietary Planning covers the creation and management of meal plans to address various health conditions. Managing Chronic Conditions teaches strategies for providing long-term care for patients with chronic illnesses.
